Basic Policies of the PTA
Non-Commercial
Neither the name "PTA" nor the names of its officers shall be used in conjunction with the commercial activities of other organizations, including but not limited to the promotion of their goods and services.

Non-Sectarian
The PTA welcomes into membership people representing a diversity of cultures, ethnic backgrounds, and political and religious beliefs. PTAs should be hospitable to all - those with a belief as well as those without - supporting no one religion over another and according each faith equal respect and consideration.

Non-Partisan
Does not preclude legislative activity - that is one of the PTA Purposes and deals with issues affecting children. But PTAs may not endorse or oppose parties or candidates, including those running for school board positions. You do not give up your right as a citizen in a democracy. You just may not use "PTA" for endorsements.
