Minnesota PTA Scholarship Fund
The Minnesota PTA Scholarship Fund has been created to provide financial assistance in the form of a non-renewable scholarship to one or more eligible high school seniors in the state each year.  Scholarships will be granted based on academic performance, financial need, community service, and essay response. A minimum of two (2) $500 scholarships will be awarded.

2010/2011 Minnesota PTA Scholarship winners were:

Emily Schmiess, a Senior from Barnesville, will be attending Minnesota State University Moorhead to study English Education with a minor in Spanish.

Craig Haukom, a Senior from Marshall, will be attending Mankato State University and would like to teach math and coach golf or hockey.

The $500 scholarships for a High School Senior pursuing a degree in education were granted based on academic performance, financial need, community service, a written essay, and personal referrals.

Congratulations to both Emily and Craig, and best of luck in the pursuit of their academic goals!
