Minnesota PTA, along with the P.S. Minnesota coalition, is advocating for fundamental changes in the way Minnesota funds elementary and secondary public schools.  Significant changes in the way Minnesota’s public schools are funded are needed to assure that students can meet the higher expectations placed on them as a result of recent standards based reform, NCLB, and the need to compete in a global economy. 

Minnesota PTA supports changes to funding which would assure that students receive a quality education, regardless of where they live in the state, and which recognizes the primary role the state has in funding public education.
